Often times, we don’t get things done because we are waiting for circumstances surrounding what we want to do, to be perfect.
One of the greatest reasons for procrastination is perfectionism. Please note from today that perfection does not exist, it is a myth, perfection is in the future.
If you are a student of history, you will agree with me that perfection doesn’t exist. Great inventions of the 20’s, 30’s, 40’s 50’s, 60’s and even 70’s are archaic today. A perfectly designed 3310 Nokia phone 12 years ago is not relevant again today, it has now been upgraded to Android phone to be perfect for today.
There is no perfect time for anything, the perfect time is now. There is no perfect team, the perfect team is the one you have now. There is no perfect location, the perfect location is where you are now.
This is by no way endorsing mediocrity. Great people and organisations we admire today, didn’t start that way, they grow to become what they are today. One action that eventually failed is better than one million intentions. One of my bosses, will always say, “Don’t tell us what you want to do, tell us what you are doing or done.”
Don’t rob yourself of a great future, roll up your sleeves and get dirty on that project, vision, book, blog, business, and idea.
Procrastination is wicked, kill it before it kills you.
Have a nice day
